Today, we’re excited to introduce you to a new brand under the Byzantion banner - TradePort. For close to a year now you’ve come to know us simply as Byzantion. Over that time period, we’ve evolved from an NFT launchpad, to a marketplace, and now to a full-blown NFT infrastructure and trading platform. Not only has our service offering grown. So has our customer base and the different types of customers we have.

Presently, we serve NFT traders, NFT project leads, and application developers through our offerings, all under the Byzantion brand. On top of that, we recently expanded our services to the NEAR Protocol. We plan to continue expanding both our infrastructure and trading tools to more chains soon.

Because we want to make sure we are delivering our services and communication in a clear way that best serves our varied client bases, we have decided to break our offerings into two different brands - Byzantion and TradePort.

From the 5th century AD to the mid-1400s, the Byzantine Empire stood as one of the most important and powerful kingdoms in the world. A big reason for this was its geography. It was located in a trading corridor connecting the major civilizations of the world - the east and the west. At the center of the empire and all of this trade was the capital city named Byzantion.

As we’ve been building this company, the ancient city has been our inspiration. Like the vibrant city of Byzantion, our core mission is to enable an easy exchange of ideas, resources, goods and services so that people can more easily build, innovate, trade and conduct activities that enrich lives. Our geography — our trading corridor — is Web3.

Our core mission is to build products and services that help enable commerce in this new world.

Two main product lines

For developers, the critical piece of this is building out the underlying infrastructure that enables individuals and businesses to interact with digital assets. “Byzantion” will continue to be the brand that aims to create the programmatic interface for all NFTs, powering marketplaces, community tooling, and other NFT applications through our indexer and our standardized, cross-chain API layer. Byzantion will continue powering development across the digital world. Just like our namesake.

Some of the products we are currently offering developers through Byzantion are:

For traders, we offer our top-in-class trading platform. We wanted to create a name for the platform that is both planted in the roots of our business and also indicates our plans to aggregate offerings from multiple chains in one convenient, rich-asset place. “TradePort” was born.

Our aim is to make TradePort a center of trade that helps buyers, sellers, holders, and artists connect and conduct trade just as they would in an old port city. We want to help users from different chains connect and have a one-stop, seamless trading experience on our platform.

Features we’re excited about on TradePort include:

We’re excited to bring developers, NFT project leads, and traders on this journey with us on both of our platforms and cater to each party more specifically. Developers and NFT project leads will be able to leverage the services of Byzantion to make their projects become a reality, and they’ll be able to find all the relevant info and documentation at byzantion.xyz or follow product updates on Twitter @byzantion_xyz or on Byzantion’s Discord server.

Collectors will be able to find us at their new home for NFT trading, tradeport.xyz, or follow along on Twitter @tradeport_xyz.
